1. DO NOT godmod. don't add in stuff like you're the best fighter or the most powerful demigod. No one's going to want to go along with that, as it gets boring and not fun for the other RPers. Unless you have a good reason to, you can't just magically read others’ minds, have the natural born skill of punching through solid concrete, or 5 magical pets that can shape shift.
2. NO powerplaying. Try not to control other character's actions, only your own, unless you PM them with permission. Stuff like, "I punched this character and s/he went crying like a little baby to Chiron" is not acceptable, because that might not be what s/he would do. We understand a lot of this happens by accident, especially if you don't want to write a short thread, but try your best. We will only warn you if one of the RPers are not happy about it, or if the powerplay is very extreme. If that happens, just edit it accordingly.
2. Use past tense when RPing. This is just to clear confusion and is a basic rule of narration (unless you're out-of-character) you can use to either narrate in first person "I skidded to a halt." or third person "(Insert character name here) skidded to a halt."
3.Respect other users please, don't threaten any other members of this site. It is okay to fight in character, but don't make it personal, it's only your characters that are fighting, not yourself.
4. DO NOT give personal information. This includes your password, address, or phone number. Neither I nor any staff member will ask you for any of this. If you are asked, please PM a staff member about it.
5. Maximum of 3 characters per person. We recommend creating one character at a time (RP a bit with one character first, before making another one), instead of rushing all three characters in there, it just makes it easier and less overwhelming. You can't roleplay more than one of your characters in the same thread, as it can get confusing and hard to keep track with, but you can include them as a character in the thread.
6.You can only have ONE child of the Big Three. If you want to create multiple characters, only one of them can be the child of Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades. This is to restrict the large number of characters that will most likely want to be children of the Big Three.
7. Threads that have (CLOSED) in brackets, are finished. This means you cannot add any more to it. EDIT: If a thread is inactive for more than a month, a staff member will automatically close it for you. If you have finished your thread, just modify the beginning thread to put a (CLOSED) next to the title, if any assistance is needed, PM me, or a staff member, we’re happy to help.
8. Wait for all roleplay members. If you are roleplaying with multiple people, please don't roleplay back and forth with only some roleplayers and not all. This can make a plot progress unfairly to those who decided to take a bathroom break and realize that the thread story has changed completely without any response from their character. Give everyone time to reply to the thread and don't reply more than once until EVERYONE has roleplayed. If a member does not reply within 4 days of the roleplay and has not messaged any of the other members participating in the roleplay to warn them of their absence, then you can keep roleplaying without said player.
9. You must roleplay with at least 3 sentences each post you make. It is hard to keep the story going if you barely progress or change the situation within your post. Think to yourself: ‘have I actually advanced the story with this post’? If not, add more detail or action to your characters.
10.Please keep all Villains in-character. Depending on the current plot, threats to camp will change from time to time. Usually they are created by certain members of the site and have very specific goals/personality. We don’t want villains with clashing behaviors just because different members want to portray them differently. Please don’t create any history with him if it has already been established that he was elsewhere during that time period. To check up on the current villains check out their character page here.
11. No more than three children of each Big Three god at a time. That means the maximum amount of Zeus children is three, the maximum amount of Poseidon children is three, and the maximum amount of Hades children is three. These demigods tend to be slightly more powerful and therefore should not be the majority of camp. If you have a demigod of the Big Three and are inactive for more than a month, they will not be accounted for and their spot will be open again.
12. You cannot roleplay through the perspective of ANYBODY ELSE other than your own character. This is pretty self explanatory. You can have other characters such as Chiron or Hades make (in character) actions and decisions but you are not allowed to roleplay them in their point of view. Stick to your own characters and them only.
13. Stick to PG-13 content at most. There are rules in place for proboards forums that prohibits any content with a maturity level past PG-13. This means you can mention, but there can’t be any details or descriptions of graphic violence, nudity, sex, or promotion of drug use. Please be as brief as possible when touching upon any of these subjects.
